Antifouling in Tunisia, France or Italy: port fees compared
Before the paint and the labour, an antifouling job starts with the port’s fees. Here are the published tariffs of French and Italian ports, next to those of the port of Tabarka.

In brief
- In France, hauling out and relaunching a 10 to 12 m monohull costs €183 to €427 depending on the port, from 2025 and 2026 tariffs.
- Ashore, a day costs €10 to €38 in France; the Italian tariffs we found are in the same range.
- In Tabarka, the port charges 20 TND per gross ton for haul-out and relaunch, plus 50 TND, and 1 TND per ton per day ashore.
An antifouling job is paid in two parts: the port’s fees (haul-out, space ashore, relaunch) and the work (washing, sanding, antifouling, labour). The work is quoted, in France and Italy as with us. The port’s fees are published. This article compares those public tariffs.
It is published by YK Marine, the boatyard in the port of Tabarka. The French and Italian figures come from each port’s own documents, with their year. They change every year: check with the port.

And in Italy
We found no published haul-out grid for Cagliari, Carloforte, Sant’Antioco, Olbia, Trapani or Palermo: the yards there quote on request. Three published tariffs:
| Place | Haul-out | Ashore, per day | Tariff |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bosa, Sardinia (municipality) | Per haul or launch: €190 (10 m), €230 (11 m), €300 (12 m) | €8 to €12 | Published 2025 |
| CalaVerde, Pula, Sardinia (marina) | Crane: €210 (10 to 11 m), €250 (11 to 12 m); stands €115 to €130 | €15 | Undated |

The port of Tabarka’s fees
In Tabarka, the port is run by APIP. A port quote from October 2026 gives:
| Paperwork and assistance package | 250 TND | YK Marine, for all the paperwork |
|---|---|---|
| Hoisting | 20 TND / tx | APIP, per gross ton (tx), relaunch included |
| Fixed fee | 50 TND | APIP, with the hoisting |
| Hard standing | 1 TND / tx / day | APIP, boat ashore |
APIP rates at the port of Tabarka, from a port quote in October 2026, subject to change. tx: gross tons. See also: apip.nat.tn.
Hoisting covers both the haul-out and the relaunch. For a boat of 10 gross tons (tx), hoisting and the fixed fee cost 250 TND, about €75. A day ashore costs 10 TND, about €3. The gross tonnage is on the boat’s papers.
Example: an 11 m sailing yacht, five days ashore
Haul-out, five days ashore and relaunch, port fees only, from the grids above:
- Sète: about €290 to €300 excl. VAT.
- Six-Fours: about €326 incl. VAT.
- Port Camargue: €346 to €406 depending on the season.
- Bandol: about €505 incl. VAT in high season.
- Bosa, Sardinia: about €507, if haul-out and launch are charged separately.
- Tabarka, for 10 tx: 300 TND, about €90.
Converted at €1 ≈ 3.36 TND (Central Bank of Tunisia, 8 October 2026).
What the table does not say
- The work: washing, sanding, antifouling and labour come on top everywhere. With us, they are on a quick quote.
- The passage: Tabarka is about 120 to 135 miles from south Sardinia, and many of our clients already keep their boat in Tunisia.
- Formalities: a foreign yacht clears in at Tabarka. We do it with you: a 250 TND package, not including the APIP fees. See clearing in at Tabarka.
- Space: berths are limited, afloat and on the hard. Book early.
